	Marli &#38;amp; Lenny
Rebrand for Marli &#38;amp; Lenny, an independent jewelry brand based in Miami. 

The energy and vibrancy of Miami, which is at the core of the brand, was not being represented through their previous, outdated branding. The new identity embodies the warm, colorful, and playful nature of the city, which is also represented through Marli &#38;amp; Lenny’s pieces. It simultaneously appeals to a younger demographic, which the company has been attempting to target with their new collections. The Spring 2022 campaign was created to align with the vibrant, eclectic feel of the rebrand.

Joujete is a loungewear brand that prides itself on its unique designs, high quality products, and sustainable and ethical standards of production.&#38;nbsp;

Working directly with the founder of the company, an identity was created that embodies and encompasses the feeling of comfort, airiness, and calm that you feel when wearing the shorts while also honoring the history and familial ties that are central to the brand’s story. Joujete, the founder’s grandmother, has been making these shorts for her friends and family for the past 30 years and is the reason for the creation of the company.

Rebrand for JUVENOIA, an independent record label

JUVENOIA Records is a record label centered on the
energy of emerging sound and the cultural shifts driven by new generations of artists. Rooted in the idea
of juvenoia, the unease that often accompanies rapid
cultural change, the project reframes this tension as a
productive space where new music, styles, and communities take shape.

						
Working closely with the label’s art director 
an identity was created that represents the boundary-breaking,
unapologetic attitude of the music they produce. The
brand identity system draws influence from underground music culture, protest graphics, and zine
aesthetics to assert the label as a bold changemaker
within the industry.

						
By employing bold, distorted typography, rigid grid
systems, and high-contrast duotone imagery, the
branding demonstrates the friction that exists between
tradition and innovation, a clash JUVENOIA plays a
major role in.

	South Beach Wine &#38;amp; Food Festival&#38;nbsp;
A speculative redesign of the identity for the South Beach Wine &#38;amp; Food Festival in Miami, FL. 

As a Miami native, I am very familiar with the South Beach Wine and Food Festival and have always been bothered by the cliché and flashy branding and imagery used by the festival. 
This rebrand veers away from the outdated, stereotypical visuals that are associated with Miami while evoking the bold, vibrant nature of the city and the flavors of the food served at the festival. Simultaneously, the graphic elements call upon the prominent Art Deco roots of South Beach.

	Type As Image
An exploration in typography and risograph printing.
Vibrant, playful, psychedelic: these cards are a formal exploration of shape and color through the manipulation of various letterforms. These prints are made to live as a tiled set, leading to constant visual interest and excitement as each of the different forms interact with each other in variable ways.
	This project is an exploration of how abstract shapes can be created through the deconstruction and repurposing of letterforms. Throughout my process, I used various typefaces to create these psychedelic forms, but found myself gravitating towards the typeface Beastly and eventually ended up using solely that typeface.

Process &#38;amp;
inspiration
	I was heavily inspired by psychedelic rock posters of the 1960s and the way they pushed the boundaries of typography and legibilty, using letterforms for their shapes and aesthetic value rather than merely to communicate information. I was also drawn to the bright, clashing color palettes of the posters and wanted to incorporate that into my design as well. This is where I had the idea of printing my cards on the risograph.

	Risograph
printing
	Printing on the risograph allowed me to highlight the intricacy of the forms in a way that wouldn’t have been possible if I had printed them in another way. Due to the nature of the ink and the way the colors overlap you can clearly see not only the individual shapes of the forms but also the moments where they are layered and interact with each other. This creates visual interest and gives the shapes a dynamic feeling that otherwise wouldn’t exist.

The Observer A few spreads that I created for The Observer, an art and literary magazine at Tufts University, where I acted as the Creative Inset Editor.&#38;nbsp;

The creative inset is found in the centerfold of the magazine that is dedicated to showcasing students’ artwork, which is specifically submitted to the magazine for the creative inset. I would solicit submissions according to the theme of the current issue and then, independently, create the layout for the creative inset with the submissions we received. &#38;nbsp;

Charles River Bike Path
A speculative redesign for the Charles River Bike Path in Boston, MA. 

In order to redesign the identity and signage for the bike path I assessed the needs of the people who visit and use the bike path. This resulted in the creation of signage that would make the path accessible, easy to use, and identifiable, three qualities it does not possess in reality.

Work created for a graphic design course at the School of the Museum of the Fine Arts in Boston, MA.&#38;nbsp;
